VOC Overview
Who needs a VOC Verification of Competency?
Under safety laws Employers in Australia have a Duty of Care to ensure their workplaces are safe, this includes ensuring a worker can complete tasks safely.
AMS Training’s VOCs provide a systematic and documented approach for workers to demonstrate competency for given workplace tasks. This blended VOC includes online self-paced theory assessment with complimentary learning material provided for any knowledge gaps.
Practical assessment is face to face at your workplace. The workplace must provide a subject matter expert to facilitate the Practical component.
On successful completion we will issue an electronic PDF VOC Verification of Competency Certificate.
The normal VOC fee is $100 P/P currently on special for $80 P/P. (No additional costs apply)
Entry requirments
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ENTRY REQUIREMENTS IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS PLEASE DO NOT ENROL AS FEES WILL APPLY. Agree to attend your workplace face to face VOC practical assessment session.
Have a level of fitness & ability that allows you to complete your VOC practical assessment session.
- Provide a clear copy of your valid ID front and back. This can include your (Driver’s License, Proof of Age card, or Passport.
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Information Technolgy
Ability to use a computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone. Ability to obtain VET Transcript complete with QR code. Ability to send and receive emails.
If English is a second language for participants or has any concerns with Language literacy and or numeracy or any other learning challenges or needs, you should discuss with the administration team prior to enrolment and trainer assessor prior to the course commencement.
Duration
It will take you between 1 and 2 hours to successfully complete the online assessment.
The practical assessment should take between 1 and 2 hours to complete. This is done face to face at your workplace with the provided subject matter expert.
You are required to complete this VOC in full within 60 days of Registration.
Assessment
To complete your online assessment, view the online assessment activities training material are provided to assist with any knowledge gaps.
The online assessment can be completed over as many sessions as you need, and your work is saved as you go.
Online assessment include:
- Short answer questions.
- Written multiple choice questions.
Practical assessment includes all aspects.
Qualification
Equipment / Materials
For the online course you will need either a computer or mobile phone, or tablet with internet access you will also need an email address unique to yourself, two students can not share the same email address.
You will also receive a complimentary PDF version of the learning material. When attending your workplace assessment, site PPE requirements apply. Your workplace will provide any relevant equipment required.
